Detach Bex queries ( datasource ) from the Analysis workbook

Hi All,

We are converting all bex analyzer workbook to Advance Analysis workbooks.

We directly using BW netweaver as the source.

We have a requirement where financial workbooks are refreshed by some power users and passed on to various other recipients.

Now these recipients should not be allowed to refresh the report hence in old bex analyzer, there was an option to detach the query leaving the result output intact.

Is there any similar option to detach the datasource (bex queries) from analysis workbook and keep the data in the workbook?

I understand simply copying the worksheet and doing paste special to another sheet will work but that is a downgrade of a tool.
