Sap bo4 connection with MsSQL 2008 Analysis Services

Hi everybody.

We're wondering if there's another way to establish de connection between SAP BO4 and MsSQL 2008 Analysis Services,

We've tried the connection documented by SAP using the msmdpump.dll and IIS config, and it's working fine, but want to know if there's a way to use come connection at network level, (like OLEDB or another) for accesing the MS CUBE, just to test if there's a better performance.
